My name is Alex Melikian and I am a second-year Computer Science major at UC Davis. Ever since 9th grade, I've been messing around with technology, taking something and exploring it to the fullest. Starting out with HTML, I quickly moved on to learning CSS, JavaScript, Java, and some other computer languages. I've used this knowledge in building website for myself as projects and for others.
I've also messed around with Photoshop and 3D modeling, so check out my Blender Gallery with pics of my work. =) My most time-consuming project was the Taj Mahal project. That took over 3 months to complete, as I made it as close to scale (in all 3 dimensions) as I could. The intention was to make it into a tourist app where a user would be given information automatically as he/she walked around the monument. That part was too logistically difficult, but at the least I got a to-scale model of it.
I've always liked messing around with computers, from changing the desktop feel to fixing my laptop and upgrading its parts. All these experiences with technology are probably what drove me to study computer science. But anyway, check out my projects page, read about me, read my blog, or send me some comments!
